FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
-
How far in advance do we need to book?We recommend booking your wedding film 6 to 12 months in advance, especially if you're planning a date between May and October, which is peak season here in Maine and across New England. Popular weekends tend to fill up quickly, and booking early gives you the best chance of securing your date and preferred package. That said, we totally understand that not every wedding follows a year-long planning timeline and we’re always happy to accommodate last-minute bookings if our schedule allows. Whether you’re planning months ahead or just a few weeks out, don’t hesitate to reach out and check our availability. To keep things fair for all couples, we book on a first-come, first-served basis, so once you’re ready, we’ll guide you through the simple booking process to lock everything in!
-
What areas do you cover? Do you travel? We proudly serve all of Maine and New Hampshire, and we’re always happy to travel throughout New England, or beyond, for couples who connect with our work. Whether your wedding is in the mountains, on the coast, or out of state, we’ll be there to capture it beautifully!
-
How long does it take to receive our videos?Because of the care and creativity we put into every edit, the full-length film can take up to 12 weeks (or longer in some cases) to deliver. However, we know you’ll be excited to share your day, so trailers can be delivered much sooner to enjoy and share with friends and family while you wait. We’re happy to discuss deliverables and turnaround times in more detail once we learn more about your wedding timeline and coverage needs!
-
What's included with each package? We offer three thoughtfully designed packages, based on how much edited footage and coverage you’re looking for. From a short and stylish highlight reel, all the way to a full-length documentary-style film complete with interviews, extra content, and social media-ready edits. It’s totally up to you how simple or cinematic you want to go! Scroll up to see full details on what’s included with each package.
-
Will we get the RAW footage?Yes, we’re happy to provide a physical hard drive with all of your raw video and audio files, neatly organized into folders, upon request. That said, please keep in mind that our cinema cameras record in professional formats that may require special software or plugins to view. Common formats include XAVC S, XAVC HS, XAVC S-I, ProRes, BRAW, H.264, .wav, .mp3, .mp4, .mov, and more. Most footage is also captured in a LOG profile, meaning it will appear flat and unedited straight out of the camera until color graded. If you’re interested in receiving the raw footage, just let us know and we’re more than happy to make it happen!
-
Can we choose our soundtrack?Yes! Music is a huge part of setting the tone for your wedding film, and we want it to feel like you. For anything we plan to post online, like highlight reels or trailers, we use a licensed music library to stay compliant with copyright laws and avoid takedowns or muted audio on platforms like Instagram and YouTube. That said, you’re welcome to share your favorite genres, moods, or even sample songs, and we’ll find licensed tracks that capture the same vibe. For private, long-form edits, like your full ceremony or full-day documentary film, we can absolutely include your personal song requests, especially if you're planning to keep those versions for private viewing only. Just keep in mind that unlicensed music can’t legally be used in videos shared publicly, and we want to make sure your memories stay online and intact. If music is especially meaningful to you, let’s chat about options and we’ll work together to build a soundtrack that complements your story beautifully.
-
What if it rains or the weather changes? We’re ready for any weather! If rain or other changes affect your outdoor plans, we’ll work with you to adapt and still capture beautiful moments. Whether it’s finding indoor alternatives or adjusting on the fly, we’ll make sure your video reflects the day, no matter what the weather brings.
-
How many videographers will you have at our wedding? It depends on the package you choose, but typically we have 2–3 videographers on-site for the full day to ensure we capture all the important moments from every angle.
-
Are you able to get drone footage?Yes, we have licensed drone pilots on staff who are fully compliant with FAA regulations. However, there are some restrictions based on local laws, including proximity to airports, cities, and government areas. Once you provide your venue location in the booking form, we’ll check and confirm whether we can fly. Weather conditions also play a role in whether we can capture drone footage on the day of your wedding.
-
Are you able to film the rehearsal dinner?Yes, if you'd like coverage of your rehearsal dinner, we can absolutely arrange to be there. Just let us know during the booking process and we’ll include it in your custom timeline and package.
-
Are you able to get candid interviews with guests?Yes, we can definitely include candid or planned guest interviews as part of your film. We’ll go over those details during our initial meeting to make sure we capture the voices and memories that matter most to you.
-
How do you capture audio? We use professional audio gear to ensure your day sounds as great as it looks. Each camera is equipped with shotgun mics for ambient and candid moments, and we use lav mics on the groom and officiant during the ceremony for clear, close-up vows. For speeches, grand entrances, and special dances, we plug directly into the DJ or sound board to capture clean audio. We also place discreet crowd mics around the venue to pick up reactions, laughs, and those little moments that bring your film to life.
-
Can we livestream our wedding?Yes, we offer livestreaming as an add-on option. If you're interested, we can go over the setup and details during our initial meeting to make sure everything runs smoothly for your guests tuning in remotely.
-
What's your style? Do you direct or stay more in the background?A bit of both! Our main approach is to stay behind the scenes and let the day unfold naturally. That’s how we capture the most genuine, unscripted moments. That said, during prep, portraits, or creative shots (like drone footage), we may offer gentle direction or suggestions to help craft beautiful visuals for your film. We aim to strike the right balance between documentary-style coverage and cinematic storytelling.
-
Can we get a trailer of the wedding video beforehand?Yes, absolutely! We can plan for a polished trailer to be delivered soon after your wedding so you have something to share and relive while waiting for the full highlight or documentary edit. We’ll go over this during the planning phase to make sure it’s included in your timeline.
-
Can we get social media clips to share?Absolutely! We can create vertical videos and short-form clips perfect for sharing on Instagram, TikTok, or wherever you like to post. Just let us know during the planning phase, and we’ll make sure it’s part of your package.
-
How can we book?Just fill out the contact form above to get started! We’ll follow up to schedule an initial meeting where we can learn more about your vision, walk through our packages, and answer any questions before locking in your date.
